Papaya Slushie

Hi guys! Don’t you just love sunny weather (since we get it all year round here)? But sometimes, it gets sticky (-ishly) hot and all you want to do is just take a cold drink, or anything cold. I mean who doesn’t love a cold glass of water, frozen fruit drink, an iced tea or even a slushie?! So I was thinking we could make a frozen drink since we had juice in the freezer. And a recipe was born.
What you’ll need:

  • I litre frozen papaya juice (or any juice/blended fruit)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • A fruit for garnishing (I used Watermelon)

Method

  1. First crush the frozen juice to small pieces
  2. In a blender, combine all ingredients and blend (if more water is needed, add so)
  3. Garnish with a favorite fruit
  4. Serve

See, I told you it was easy!

Have a great week!

Lemon Cake Via Food Network

Image

First of all I wanna say that this post was not scheduled for today(technical problems) but I hope you bear with me. Secondly I wanna say that this cake is awesome… I baked it two weeks ago  and decided to share it with you! Mouth watering… I know! So this is basically a lemon cake sans frosting The recipe can be found here.

One thing I am grateful for is the fact that my images are getting better and better… thanks to CAT Photography(owned my sister and I). Its uplifting to know that  from where I started, I am improving…but this post is not about how much progress I have. Its about this great cake and you should try it.

Wish you all a wonderful weekend

Pound Cake Experience

Image

First of all I wanna say the cake was delish! I had always heard about pound cakes but in my culinary class, we usually did the chiffon cake. It was an entirely exciting and major experiment for me and I am excited to announce that the cake came out perfectly (considering the fact that most of my experiments end up into disasters!) My dad couldn’t get over it(that’s how good it was!). I used the recipe here.

What have you tried lately?
