Happy Easter Weekend

Image

Well today is Maunday Thursday and i am more than happy to share with you this flower! Guess it symbolizes the fact that despite all the schedules to meet, the exams, the errands and checklists to finish, this weekend will be a great one for me. Bonding with friends, doing various activities and hanging out with my siblings(my sister goes to a boarding school and she is home for the weekend). It is more than I could ask for. Sometimes we get wrapped up in our daily lives that we actually forget to live, something I am entirely against. I pray that as the Easter holiday mood sets in, take time to look around and notice what and who is around you. It is the little things that truly matter in the end.  What are you looking forward to this weekend?

Happy Holidays and  May God bless you

DIY Braided Rug

Image

Braiding is a huge part of our lives considering the fact that at the age of five we girls had braids in our hair. Hair aside, this braided rug was a result of this inspiration which I came across from  A beautiful Mess.

It was a little bit tricky but after getting a study of it I decided to come up with my version. I guess the hardest part was having to braid an almost endless rope and having to sew it all together.

I followed from step one to four and then changed it up a bit. Instead of gluing I opted for sewing the long rope together and it kept on expanding(if you look closely, you can see some yarn sticking out). It was supposed to be a round rag but it turned it some weird distorted form(I don’t know what happened. Really).Guess I am still learning. But it is uplifting to know that my first try turned up ok. Im gonna have to do more in the future so as to come up with perfect shapes and larger sizes.

What have you tried  so far?

Have a happy week.

Lemon Cake Via Food Network

Image

First of all I wanna say that this post was not scheduled for today(technical problems) but I hope you bear with me. Secondly I wanna say that this cake is awesome… I baked it two weeks ago  and decided to share it with you! Mouth watering… I know! So this is basically a lemon cake sans frosting The recipe can be found here.

One thing I am grateful for is the fact that my images are getting better and better… thanks to CAT Photography(owned my sister and I). Its uplifting to know that  from where I started, I am improving…but this post is not about how much progress I have. Its about this great cake and you should try it.

Wish you all a wonderful weekend

🙂
